Can \ncontrol and act as a prophylactic for cases presenting a smooth, even, red surface. When such an epidemic is \nabout, those who may be exposed to infection may obtain almost certain im munity by taking Belladonna two \nor three times a day. \nA striking picture of Bell, is sometimes see n in cases of worm -fever. Lutze reported a case of a pale, feeble \nchild, aged 3, who awoke, or at least sat up, at night in bed screaming, could not be pacified. Wet the bed at \nnight, passed worms now and then. Cheeks and ear-tips were brilliant scarlet, other parts of the face, especially \naround the mouth, were white as snow. \nEyes brilliant, staring, pupils dilated. Skin dry and hot like fire. On being spoken to, flew into a violent rage. \nCina 200c ameliorated. Bell. 100,000c cured permanently. \nCorresponds to the symptoms of \u201cairsickness\" in aviators. Can be given as a preventive. Has cured a very \nsevere headache in a nervous man that occurred whenever he \nwas exposed to tobacco smoke. \nAn enormous number of the symptoms of Bell, are developed in and from the head and sensorium. The pains \nof Bell, run downwards, away from the head (Sil. and Gels, have a pain running up the back). Characteristic \nheat, redness and burning. \nAll the symptoms come and go quickly. Predominantly a right -side medicine. Worse lying do wn. May want \nsomething bitter or sour with their fever. They like lemons and are thirsty in general for cold water. Gener ally \naggravated at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. \nGreat general sensitiveness and also sensitiveness of the special senses. Sensitive to light, to slightest noise, \nto motion or jar as when someone touches the bed. Photophobia. Mania, rage, disposition to bite, scratch and \ntear things. Fantastic illusions when closing eyes. Dull and sleepy, half asleep and half awake. Delirium with \nfevers, especially with kidney infections. Hallucinations. \nChilly. Sensitive to changes from warm to cold, to drought of air, to damp weather, to chilling from having the \nhead uncovered or having the hair cut. Better from being wrapped up warmly in a room.  \nRemarkable quickness of sensation or of motion, the eyes snap and move quickly. The pains come and go \nsuddenly no matter how long they may last. Spasms from congestion or \nheat. Meningitis with sudden onset, high fever, dilated glassy eyes, rolling their head back. \nThe face is purple, red and hot, or yel low. Redness and pallor alternate. Skin is \u201cuniform, smooth, shining, \nscarlet redness, so hot that it imparts a burning sensation to the hand of one who feels it. Swe at on covered \nparts only.\u201d Burning rashes, smooth and shiny. Scarlet fever. \nAcute sinusitis, especially with nasal discharge that dries up (Kali -bi.) and throbbing. Bronchitis. Strep throat, \near infections. Earaches that come on fast with a high fever. Photophobic with earache. \nTonsillitis, throat and tonsils are red (Ars.). The mouth is exceedingly dry without thirst. Stinging in esophagus, \nworse swallowing or talking. Esophagus feels contracted. Affinity for sore throats, especially forchildren. May \nhave swollen glands, high fever. \nVision disorders. Child has glassy eyes. Eye injuries (Aeon., Calen.) with inflammation, pain and photophobia. \nPupils are dilated and the eye gets red and hot. Very sensitive to light. Sparks before eyes.  \nCough short, dry, tickling (Rumx. and Phos.). Whooping cough with crying or pains before the attack, flushed \nface, nosebleed and bloody expectoration. \nParalysis of lungs and heart (vagus nerve). Violent palpitation of heart. Stitches in chest. Swellings of breast \nwith bright red streaks radiating from center of inflammation. Rheumatism worse by motion. Sweat on covered \nparts only. \n\u201cTenderness of abdomen, worse by least jar. Pressing downward as if contents of abdomen would issue \nthrough vulva, worse mornings often associated with pain in back as if it would break.\u201d \n \n \nLumpy stool, like chalk. Spasmodic contraction of anus, obstinate constipation. Involuntary stool and urine. \nBladder infections with congestion. Cramps and spasms on trying to urinate. Bleeding hemorrhoids, back pains \nas if breaking. Sensation of a hand clutching intestines. Stitches in spleen. Appendicitis, acute pancreatitis, \ngallstone colic. \nThe menstrual flow is hot, light color or bad smell. Ovarian cysts, especially on the right. Bearing down \nsymptoms, stabbing pains (Sep.).
