Nosebleeds consequent on suppression of the menses is \ncharacteristic. \nMouth very dry, tongue coated white down the middle, the edges may be quite clean, later it becom es yellow \nwith bitter taste. Lips are dry and cracked. \nToothache, better by pressing head into pillow, by cold applications. Tendency to chew lips, pick nose or \ncracked lips, or grind teeth. Brain disorders with a constant motion of the mouth as if chewing. Stool large, dry, hard, brown or \nblack, as if burnt or charred, crumbling (Plat, has sticky, tena cious stool, sticks to rectum). Stools sme ll of old \ncheese. Can have no desire to stool. Diarrhea worse in the morning. \nThe liver is tender and inflamed. The kidneys also are inflamed, the urine being dark red without deposit (from \nexcess of coloring matter). Appendicitis with nausea, vomiting, fever and rebound tenderness (Bell.). Mastitis, \nhard, tender. Left ovarian pain, better lying on painful side. \nDropsical swellings, swellings of the legs, sensitive to touch. \u201cJoints red, swollen, stiff with stitching pain from \nslightest motion.\u201d Synovial swellings. Symptoms are worse with stiffness. \nAnkle injuries, the slightest movement causes severe pain. Trauma injuries. Low back problems, slipped disks. \nWhiplash where the neck is frozen with pain and they don't want to be touched, will immobilize neck as  \nmovement causes great pain. \nFixation due to pain worse from motion. Worse with any effort, they move only because there is pain. Will cling \nto support. Lying on the painful part keeps the part at rest. There is also an intense headache, dull throbbing \nor sharp stabbing pains, sharp pain in or over eyes. Head greasy, scalp tender, eyeballs tender. All their \nsymptoms become worse at 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. \nIrritable. Constantly finding dissatisfac tion. Hasty speech. Dreams of the occupa tions of the day. The chil d \nkicks the covers off. Often of a dark complexion and hair, choleric, bilious tendency with firm fleshy fiber, \ntendency to great irritability and bad temper. \nClarke cured a case of congenital hydrocele with Bry. \nVan den Berghe found Bry. singularly curative in chlorosis, with diarrhea and constipation. Diarrhea occurs in \nthe morning \u201cas soon as he moves\u201d from cold drinks in warm weather, on every spell of hot weather.  \nTeste took Bryonia as the type of a group which includes All-s., Lyc., Dig., Nux-v., Coloc. and Ign. All these act \nwith much more power on carnivorous than on herbivorous animals.
