Source:  Derived  from  the  fresh  root  of  Bryonia  alba ,  a  perennial  climbing  plant  in  the. Cucurbitaceae  family,  harvested  before  flowering  and  prepared  for  homeopathic  use  through. potentization involving serial dilution and succussion. Traditional Context: Historically employed in homeopathy for  inflammatory, respiratory, and. musculoskeletal disorders, particularly those involving intense pain, dryness, and irritability. It is. noted for symptoms such as stitching pains, dry cough, and joint stiffness, often aggravated by. motion, heat, or touch, and ameliorated by rest, pressure, or cold. over-eat or eat excessively of meat and have strong constitutions, “persons accustomed to rich living with rich 
blood, firm resisting flesh.” Teste regarded the digestive canal, and more particularly the stomach, as  
the principal seat of the action of Bry.
- A case of facial eczema was cured with it in an infant five months old, presenting the additional symptoms of 
constipation, peevish, fretful, thirsty, face and lips are cracked and sore.
