## Keynote Indications
This is a very ancient remedy and was proved and introduced into homeopathy by Hering. 
The clinical experience of Hering and his fellow-provers has shown this to be highly useful remedy in cracked 
and ulcerated nipples. 
Cast-eq. especially acts on the nipples, the nails and bones, causing pains in right tibia and coccyx. General 
action on thickening of the skin and epithelium. 
Nails become brittle and fall off. Chapped hands. 
Affects principally female organs, especially the nipples. Cracked and ulcerated nipples of nursing women, 
excessively tender, cannot bear the touch of clothing. Warts on forehead, breasts. Psoriasis of the tongue. 
Bones, especially tibia and coccyx are painful. Fainting. Epilepsy. Desire to smoke tobacco.

- Vertigo, headache and nausea in mornings, sour stomach and lack of appetite.

- Cracked and ulcerated nipples (Sars., Sil., Petr., Calen.), especially of nursing women.
- Nipples exce ssively 
tender, cannot bear touch of clothing.
- Chapped hands.
- Fainting.
- Epilepsy.
- Desire to smoke tobacco.
- Psoriasis of tongue.
- Warts on forehead and 
breasts.
- Burnett cured with it a case of wart on forehead.

### Head
- Sensation as if occiput had gone to sleep.
- Scalp goes to sleep, numb.
- As if something crawling in hair.
- Pressure in forehead.
- Pressive pain in temples.
- Deep pressure in occiput.
- Headache with vertigo and nausea, 
sour stomach and lack of appetite.
- Sensation as if occiput had gone to sleep.

### Eyes
- Frequent twitching in right eyelid.

### Ears
- Sensation of dryness in left ear, compelling to scratch.
- Twitching, internally in left ear.

### Face
- Sensation as if trismus.
- Transitory, burning, prickling pain in face and also on body.
- Prickling and heat 
on both cheeks.
- Dry lips with thirst in evening.

### Mouth
- Burning, on front of tongue.
- Psoriasis of the tongue.
- Pain in hollow teeth of left side, must pick them.
- Nose - Pressive pain in nasal bones.
- Coryza, fluent, with constant sensation of hunger, even after eating

### Throat
- Disagreeable, sick feeling in larynx.

### Chest
- Burning pains on chest.
- Peculiar sensation about heart as of something alive struggling.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Repeated empty eructations.
- Colic with urging wakes him in the morning, followed by a very thin, watery, somewhat burning 
stool, with passage of offensive flatus.
- Pain in left inguinal region.
- Sense of hunger, even after eating, during coryza.
- Lack of appetite during headache.
- Desire to smoke 
tobacco.
- Great accumulation of saliva, immediately after eating.
- Soon after pains in teeth, loud rumbling in 
abdomen.

### Extremities
- Repeated pain in right tibia.
- Arms and legs sore as if beaten.
- Pain in left elbow and right knee.
- Right 
wrist-joint as if sprained.
- Very brittle nails.
- Crumbling of fingernails from slightest knock against them.

### Neck & Back
- Weakness of spine.
- Pain in coccyx, worse every evening, while sitting.
- Breasts - Breasts swollen, sensitive, worse descending stairs.
- Nipples almost hanging.
- Cracked, sore 
nipples in nursing women, excessively tender, cannot bear touch of clothing, even in neglected cases, 
ragged.

- Violent itching in breasts.
- Reddened areola.

### Skin
- General action on thickening of the skin and epithelium.

### Sleep
- Restless sleep with numbness of right arm.
- Sleepiness in early evening.
- Stretches arms up over head 
and cracks fingers during sleep.

trees.
