Blackness, with sensation of fainting. - When reading or writing, letters run together and seem blurred. - COMMENTS - Chelidonium is a major liver remedy and is also a venous medicine. - According to Rademacher, Chel. - acts on the center of the liver. - Neonatal jaundice rem edy (Phos., Cham., Chin.). - Yellow tongue, yellow skin, yellow eyes. - Hepatitis (Phos.). - Yellowness of the skin, ulceration. - Prominent paralytic symptoms. - Chills or creeps accompany the headache or the jaundice. - Constipation with clay-colored stools or diarrhea with bright yellow stools. - Nausea during pregnancy with desire for food, better by drinking milk. - Desire for hot food and drinks, only water almost boiling will stay on stomach. - “Aversion to cheese” in many gastric conditions. - Eating ameliorates. - Desire to lie down after a meal. - Great debility and drowsiness after eating and on waking. - The action of Sang., its relative, in breast can cer is well known. - Additionally, Op., in addition to its narcotic influence, is believed by Snow to have a retarding effect on cancerous growth. - Pneumonia with bilious symptoms. - Fanlike movement of alae nasi in chest disorders (Lyc.). - Numerous cases of pneumonia of right lung have been cured when associated with hepatic derangement, distressing pain under right scapula. - Hepatization of upper half of right lung. - Bry. - is very similar to Chel. - in pneumonia but the pains go continually to the back in Chel. - and esp. - to the right scapula. - Rattling in lungs, worse changing position after waking. - Frequently useful in bronchitis of children, with dusky red face, oppressed breathing. - Strong action in the respiratory sphere. - Characteristic cough is caused by a sensati on of “dust” in the air passages. - St. - Clair Smith related a case of a young woman, who had for several weeks a dry, racking, fatiguing cough night and day, worse at night, no expectoration and no pain. - She looked completely worn out. - The cough was excited by a sensation as if throat and larynx were full of dust. - Chel. - 3c, a powder every two hours, was given. - She only took three when the “dust” left the throat, and with it the cough, and never returned. - Carleton Smith cured a “Dry cough through day with pain and stitches right side, severe hoarseness 5 p.m., voice scarcely audible.” C. - M. - Foss recorded a typical Chel. - case simulating cancer. - A man, 45, had catarrh of the nose and, at the same time of the stomach. - He had been told he had stomach cancer. - Tender ness over stomach with sinking, gone feeling, at times reaching a state of painful anguish. - This pain, which is at times accompanied by dull beatings in the chest, does not allow him to draw a long breath, it is not perceptibly aggravated by the motions of the arm. - The pain is particularly felt in the axilla and under the shoulder blade. - A sort of numbness of the muscles in the region of the liver and in the right side of the neck, face and head. - Apprehension of threatening pneumonia. - Great anxiety. - Con stant desire to stir and change one's position. - Edema, heat, tenderness and stiffness are the leading indications. - A baby girl had rheumatism of both ankles for a week, when it settled in the right one, which became greatly swollen, very tender, painful and hot. - Constipated for two months previously, whitish stools. - Chel. - improved in twelve hours and cured entirely in a week. - In another case of acute rheumatism of feet and ankles, supervening on a slow, remittent fever, Chel. -
