## Keynote Indications
Cistus is a very ancient remedy for scrofulous disorders, in scorbutic states, and for 
gangrenous ulcerations. The provings and homeopathic uses confirm its suitability in these respects and bring 
out clearer indications. 
Affects the glands, especially of naso pharynx, neck and breasts (left). Malignant disease of the glands of 
the neck. Indurated glandular swelling of the neck and throat. Suppuration of the glands of the neck. Breast 
cancer, hardness of the breasts. 
Cancer of the lo wer lip. Scorbutic, swol len gums separating from the teeth, gums bleed easily, putrid, 
disgusting. Cold tongue. Decay of the lower jaw. Desire for acid food and fruits. Saliva in throat. Belchings in 
stomach. 
Affinity for the naso-pharynx, aborts colds that center in posterior nose. Sniffling. Mucus discharges are thick, 
yellow, foul, leave a painful rawness. Worse sweating, discharges. Scrofulous ophthalmia.  
Herpetic eruptions, scorbutic states, chronic swellings and gangrenous ulcer ations. Poisoned wounds, bites, 
phagadenic ulcers. Suppurations. Lupus. Internal and external itching. Burnings. Formication through the 
whole body with anxious, difficult breathing. Indurations. Callosities with cracks. 
Extreme sensitivity to cold. Sensation of coldness in various parts. Inhaled air feels cool. Cold breath. 
Grimmer said “This patient is extremely sensitive to cold and all complaints become worse after exposure to 
cold.” All mental excitement aggravates.

### Mouth
