# Comocladia Dentata

## Keynote Indications
Comocladia shows its affinity with the Rhus family by the virulence of its effects on the skin, 
the slightest contact, and at times even walking in the neighborhood o f the growing tree, being sufficient to 
cause violent inflammation. Both are irritant poisons. 
The trunk and branches of the tree contain a milky fluid, turning black on exposure to sunlight, discoloring the 
skin, linen, etc. Compare with Anacardium. The plant causes tormenting itching, swelling, redness, vesication, 
ulceration. 
Important eye and skin symptoms. Ma lignant skin inflammation with enormous swelling or edema of left leg 
and foot. Deep ulcers with hard edges. Skin red all over. Recurrent eczema.  Leprosy. 
Throbbing pains, worse by heat. Sacroiliac and abdominal pain. Wandering rheu matic pains. Pain in joints 
and ankles. 
Burning, itching of the eyes, which feel too large. Right eye very painful, feels large, protruded than left. Ciliary 
neuralgia. Burning itching of the nose with violent sneezing. Affections of antrum. Pain under the left breast or 
nipple extending to left scapula, when coughing.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Better from open air. Bet ter motion, scratching. Better pressure. Worse from touch. Worse 
warmth. Worse rest. Worse at night (Rhus-t.). Rheumatic pains are better by motion and worse by rest (Rhus-
t.). Heat aggravates and open air ameliorates most of the symptoms (opposite Rhus -t.).

## Symptoms by System

### Eyes
- Glaucoma, sense of fullness, eyeball feels too large.
- Ciliary neuralgia with eyes feeling large and 
protruded, worse right eye.
- Eyes are worse near warm stove, feels as if pressed outward.
- Sees only glimmer 
of light with left eye.
- Motion of the eyes aggravates.

### Ears
- Heat and fullness in right ear.
- Left ear cracked and desquamating a substance like powered starch.

### Face
- Swollen, with projecting eyes.

### Mouth
- Mouth dry.
- Tongue coated dirty yellow.
- Sensation as if a tooth were being drawn out of its socket.
- Pain in teeth better by pressure.
- When toothache stops, head feels large.
- Gums of lower jaw inflamed.

### Chest
- Pain from right side of chest down arm to fingers.
- Cough with pain under left breast, going through to 
left scapula.
- Spasmodic, dry cough at night.
- Soreness in left lung.
- Cannot draw a long breath on account of sharp 
pain at center of thorax on left side.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Severe flatulent pain in abdo men preceding and during a diarrhea stool, followed by a feel ing of 
weakness and perspiration on face and neck.

### Urinary & Genital
- Intense itching on lower part of penis, also on inner side of prepuce.
- Continued tingling, itching of 
scrotum during night.

### Extremities
- Sharp pains through right shoulder to scapula.
- Painful burning on arms.
- Crampy sensation in muscles 
of right upper arm.
- Drawing, cramping in fingers.
- Vesicular eruption on arms and hands.
- Herpes on legs.

### Neck & Back
- On moving head, sense of fullness, rigidity and lameness of muscles of neck.
- Rheumatic pains and 
 
 
stitches in back, stitches leave a burning.
- Breasts - Sharp pain in left breast, about one 
inch above nipple, leaves a burning sensation.
- Sloughing ulcer on right breast.

### Skin
- Itches, red and pimples.
- Redness all over like a scarlatina.
- Red stripes on skin (Euph.).
- Erysipelas.
- Pustular eczema of the trunk and limbs.
- Deep ulcers with hard edges.
- Leprosy.

### Sleep
- Dreamy, refreshing sleep with pleasant dreams, almost clairvoyant.
- COMMENTS - Peculiar eye symptoms, including a pain in the right eye, the sensation as if it were larger and 
more protruded than the left.
- Throbbing pains as if the eyeballs are bulging or would burst.
- Glaucoma (Jab.
- ).
- Ciliary neuralgia, eye pains.
- Eye symptoms are worse warm rooms, heat, even that of the sun.
- Cough with pain under the left breast going through to the left scapula.

- An indolent ulcer, in the lower 
third of right leg, deep, discharging bloody fetid pus.
