## Keynote Indications
Cubeba is an old-world remedy for gonorrhea and gleet. It affects the mucus membrane of 
the nose, air passages, intestines, and the uro-genital tract. It acts well in persons of bilious temperament with 
tendency to constipation. 
Burning, rawness is felt in the throat in stomach, abdomen, rectum, urethra, fossa navicularis. Catarrh. 
Discharges are thick, acrid, yellow, pus like, green, offensive after violent inflammation. Frequent urination of 
a nervous origin. Leucorrhea in young girls. MIND - Weakness of intellect. Frequent absence of mind. Loss of 
memory. Is unable to accomplish anything. Waking reveries. All his ideas are confused and wandering. Cannot 
find words to express himself. Exaltation of temper and mental facul ties. Starting from noises. Uneasiness, 
anxiety, can't remain in bed. 
Madness, with sorts of beastly extravagances. Impatient, irritable, a mere trifle provokes him. Furious insanity, 
with wickedness. Breaks everything within his reach, out of sheer mali ce. Mania, desire to strike and to kill. 
Impulse to swear at people. Im- 
Cubeba officinalis pulse to strike them and spit in their faces, even to bite them. 
Proneness to debauchery and every species of excess. Shamelessly indecent in thoughts, words, and 
gestures, especially towards evening. Delirium. Lascivious words and thoughts, with violent priapism. Lewd 
talk. Incoherent speech during sleep. 
Paroxysms of foolish gaiety, with great loquacity, or silent weeping, towards eve ning. Want of decision and 
will-power. Fits of dejection, apathy, insensibility. Indifferent to everything. 
Regards himself as more of an invalid than be really is. Delusion he is unfortunate. Disturbed about his health 
and social position. Paroxysms of anxiety, suffocation and faint ing. Excessive nervous excitement; he is very 
easily frightened.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Better from getting up and walking about. Worse from night, in bed.

## Symptoms by System

### Vertigo
- Frequent giddiness, so that he is afraid of falling.
- COMMENTS - Burning in throat with dryness, constant need to swallow saliva.
- Burning in stomach, abdomen, 
rectum, urethra and fossa navicularis.
- Prickling in soles of feet.
- Sensa tion of downward weight and pressure 
in region of femoral ring, worse on walking, riding or lifting.
- Stools and colic are worse at night in bed, better getting up and walking about.
- Urine foaming.
- Albuminous, 
bloody.
- Acrid leucorrhea in children.
- Skin diseases with kidney disorders.
- Nash defined its place in gonorrhea as “After the inflamma tory stage is passed under the usual remedies for 
that stage, if there still remains burning in the urethra after 
urination and the discharge remains thick, yellow or pus -like (with Puls, the discharge is bland with Merc, all 
symptoms are Worse at night).
- Thin (gleety) discharge does not correspond to any of the three.”

### Head
- Veins of the forehead and temples are distended.
- Contractive and pressive pains with drowsiness, but 
without sleep.
- Deep -seated pains.
- The hairs becomes white.
- Falling off the hair, especially in the evening.
- Pustules on the scalp, forming scabs like those of small-pox.
- Intolerable itching of the head, with burning ulcers.
- Kidneys - Burning an d itching in fossa navicularis.
- Hematuria.
- Cystitis.
- Urethritis with much mucus,  
especially in women.
- Cramp, cutting, burning in urethra after urination, with constriction.
- Stringy gonorrhea.
- Sensation as if bladder still contained water.
- Last drops of urine passed with pain.
- Urine frothy.
- Urine copious, 
dark.
- Urine, odor of violets.
- Nocturnal enuresis.

### Eyes
- Rheumatic or gonorrheal ophthalmia.
- Fullness in eyes, turgid and watery.

### Ears
- Obstinate otorrhea.

### Face
- Fullness of face or red and pale by turns.
- Lips puffed, dry and shining.
- Twist of mouth to one side.

### Mouth
- Aphthae of li ps and gums.
- On attempting to smile or speak his mouth seems to twist to one side.
- Mouth as if dry, though moistened with an oily saliva, great thirst.
- Tongue furred and moist or very white.
- Nose - Post-nasal catarrh.
- Mucus trickles from nose into throat with rawness of throat and hoarseness.
- Nasal 
catarrh, with fetid odor and catarrh of throat.
- Nasal catarrhwith greenish-yellow expectoration.

### Throat
- Swallows saliva constantly to relieve burning and dryness of the throat.
- Catarrh.

### Chest
- Dyspnea.
- Catarrh of nose and throat with fetid odor and expectoration.
- Mucus trickles from posterior 
sinuses.
- Rawness of throat and hoarseness.
- False membrane in larynx, danger of suffocation.
- Hurried and 
noisy breathing.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Burning in sto mach and abdo men.

during urination.
