Stimulates the heart's muscles, increases force of systole, increases \nlength. \nHeart blockage with a very slow pulse. The pulse is weak, irregular intermittent, abnormally slow  and \ndropsy of external \nDigitalis purpurea and internal parts. Slow pulse in rec umbent posture, but irregular and dicrotic on sitting \nup. Irregular pulse. Pulse can be slow or it can be intermittent. Slow pulse with menopause, puberty, or after \nsexual abuse. \nCongestive heart failure, especially in el derly people with dizziness and ri nging in the ears. Tightness of the \nchest and weak heart. Constriction of the chest (Cact.). Weary feeling and their limbs feel heavy (Gels., Con.). \nFluttering of the heart (Nat-m.). High blood pressure, with kidney involvement or prostate problems. \nSense of suffocation, a fear of suffocation relating to a weak heart. Sinking feeling in the stomach with heart \npalpitations. Faintness. Sensation as i fhe would die if he moves during the palpitations. Great weakness, \ncan hardly talk, sinking of strength. Collapse. Prostration from slight exertion. \nAs of an electric shock going through the body. Cyanosis. Must walk about, with precordial anxiety, with urging \nto urinate. Dropsy with suppression of urine. Jaundice from induration and hypertrophy of the liver. Jaundice \nwith heart disease. Tongue is blue and clean, thick and flabby. Vertigo as if faintness would occur. \nVision - Diplopia. Dim vision. Dark bodies like flies, before eyes. Change in acute ness of perception of \nshades of green. Objects appear green and yellow. Sees \nDigitalis purpurea hairs before his eyes. Loss of vision and many symptoms with anemia of retina and optic \nnerve. Hemiopia, as if upper part of field of vision were covered by a dark cloud. Optical illusions in bright or \nprismatic colors. \nCOMMENTS - Slow, weak, irregular and intermittent pulse. Acute cyanosis (Carb -v.). Palpitations, with hot \nflashes. Prostration from slight exertion. Restlessness with a great nervous weakness. Lassitude, mental and \nbodily. Faintness. Convulsions with re traction of head, syncope and collapse. His tory of helping reduce or \ncontrol aneurysm. Vertigo, dizziness as if intoxicated. \nPneumonia and pleurisy. Senile pneumonia. Asthmatic sufferings as from hydrothorax. Respiration is painfully \nrestricted at night, when lying down or in the day, when walking or seated. In the morning, suffocating \nconstriction of the chest, forcing the patient to rise up in the bed. \nDelirium tremens in high livers, stomach and liver diseases with the mental state of the drug. Enlarged, sore, \nand painful liver. Deathly sinking in the epigastrium. Every shock, like bad news, strikes her in the epigastrium. \nPortal engorgement. White, pasty stools. Constant irritation or urge to urinate. Urine can be dark brown. \nDribbling of the urine. \nNausea and vomiting, worse from smell of food, not better by vomiting. Violent nausea with clean tongue. The \nfood eaten comes up by mouthfuls, cannot expectorate without vomiting. Terrible pain at root of nose after \nvomiting. Thirst for water. \nEnlarged prostate in elderly men, with lascivious thoughts. Prostate enlargement and weaknesses with \nconcomitant heart disease. Impotence. History of gonorrhea. Yellow -white urethral discharge. People with a \nhistory of excess, particularly sex and alcohol, with weakened heart or liver.  \nDischarged blood coagulates slowly or not at all. Distended veins in eyes, e ars, lips and tongue. Blue skin. \nAbsence of fever. \nTeste classed Dig. with Bry. and Ign. He noted that there is an \u201canxious and concen trated sadness with \nsleeplessness at night. \nowing to pains at the heart: for instance from unhappy love, especially in wo men of brown complexions, firm \nand obstinate dispositions. In such cases far preferable to Ignatia.\u201d \nRoss regarded the indications as being: \u201cdry cough with mucus rales and no expectoration or only \"prune juice' \nexpectoration, cyanosis, cold limbs, feeble  intermittent pulse, deathly nausea or gone sensation at \nepigastrium.\u201d \nMalcolm Macfarlan reported Dig. having produced severe urethritis, phimosis and strangury. He cured with it \nmany cases of gonorrhea. \nBallard cured a man of headache and dizziness, originating probably in gonorrhea suppressed several years \nbefore. He complained of feeling bad about the head after drinking and this keynote symptom was elicited: \n\u201cafter drinking cold water the pain would seat itself in the forehead and extend down the nose.\u201d","Head":"Face bluish. Spasm of glottis with di arrhea and thirst. Edema of larynx. Frequent painless hoarseness. \nHoarseness in early morning. \nTongue - Blue tongue and lips. Tongue blue, thick, flabby. Tongue clean with nausea and vomiting. Veins \ndistended on tongue. Tongue pale. Tongue coated white.","Chest":"Angiria pectoris.  Great weakness in chest, can't bear to talk. Suffocative painful constriction \nofchest, as if internal parts were grown together. Creeping all \nDigitalis purpurea over skin. Smarting in the chest. Tens ion in the chest with necessity to breathe deeply. \nContractive, pressing pain in the chest, when sitting with the body bent. Sensation of soreness. Congestion in \nthe chest. Raw, sore feeling in chest, with cough. Trembling in chest. \nConstitutions - Nervous lymphatic constitutions. Children with very pale complexions, light hair, scrofulous. \nCough - Dry cough, on deep inspiration. Cough followed by great prostration. Cough after eating, with vomiting \nof food. Cough causes pain in shoulders and arms or sore , raw feeling in the chest. Cough from suppressed \nmenses. Hemoptysis with weak heart or from chronic bronchitis, before menses. Hollow, deep, spasmodic \ncough, excited by roughness and scratching in palate and in trachea. Sinking feeling at heart. Sudden sensation as if heart stood still. Sensation as if heart would cease \nbeating if he moves, must hold the breath and keep still (opposite of Gels.). Precordial anxiety, with sensation \nof weakness in forearm. Audible throbbing of heart. Metallic sounding heart-beat. The least movement causes \nviolent palpitations. Palpitations with depression from grief. Angina pectoris. Attacks of angina, worse raising \narms with tingling in arm and fingers. Constant pain or anguish in region of heart. Frequent sharp pains in \nheart. Irregular heartbeat especially with mitral valve disease.  Cardiac failure following fevers. Heart tired \nafter sprains. Hypertrophy with dilatation. Cardiacfailurefollowing fevers.  Cardiac dropsy. Expectoration, sweetish like boiled starch, mixed with bloody mucus. Yellow, jelly like mucus, \ndifficult expectoration. Can not expectorate without vomiting. Moist rales, yet cough dry. Senile pneumonia. \nEmphysema with heart disease. Edema \nof lungs. Hydrothorax.","Stomach & Abdomen":"Discomfort in stomach, even after a small quantity of food, or from mere sight or smell. Burning in \nstomach and into esophagus. Faintness, great weakness in stomach.  Extreme anxiety in pit causing \nfrequent deep sighs. Epi- \ngastric region tender. Neuralgic pain in stomach. Stomach burning, extending to esophagus. Gulping up of \nan acrid or tasteless fluid. Deathly nausea, with faint sinking in stomach.  Persistent nausea and vomiting \nwith clean tongue (Ip.). Lacerating, and sharp pains in lumbar region. \nBladder - Cystitis, after passing a few drops the desire to urinate is increased and the patient walks about in \ngreat distress. Urethritis, phimosis, strangury. Full feeling after urination. Urine, suppressed. Sharp cutting \nor throbbing pain at neck of bladder. Difficult urination. Pain, as if a straw was being thrust back and forth, \nworse at night. Constriction and burning, as if urethra was too small. Dragging in bladder as if distended, not \nbetter frequent urination.
