In the first, a married man injured his \ntesticles by jumping upon a horse, this was followed by discharge of what was considered semen for fifteen \nyears during which time he was treated by allopaths and homeopaths. \nThe emissions were without erections, day or night, and followed by great lassitude. Dr. Parks tried a number \nof the usual remedies without permanent benefit. He then gave a half grain dose, three times a day of the third \n \n \ndecimal trituration of the \u201cEryngium aquaticum.\u201d In  five days the emissions were entirely suppressed and did \nnot return. \nThe second case concerned a married man who was not conscious of having sustained any injury, who was \ntroubled for eight to ten years with emissions at night with erections The semen also passed by day with urine. \nThe loss of semen was followed by great lassitude and depression, continuing from twelve to forty-eight hours. \nThere was also partial impotence. He had been treated al- lopathically. \nDr. Parks gave him Ph-ac. for two weeks without material benefit. He then the Ery- a., as above with the same \nexcellent and prompt result. \nJ. Whitfield cured three cases of kidney colic with stones (two left side, the other not stated) with Ery -a. \nHale found it useful in epidemic influenza when there  was raw, smarting burning in throat and larynx, with \nconstant irritating cough and expectoration of yellow mucus. Leonard reported the following case of a young Methodist minister, apparently healthy, who was jus t \nover his twelfth attack of kidney colic. \nThe attacks had recurred at intervals of two to four weeks and lasted from one to three days. They were so \nweakening as to keep him incapacitated in the intervals. \nHe had old-school treatment including morphine and quinine, without benefit. The attacks were accompanied \nwith severe nervous chills and it was for these that the quinine had been prescribed.
