American pokeweed, a perennial plant native to North America, prepared for homeopathic use. through trituration and serial dilution to enhance therapeutic action while eliminating material. toxicity, in accordance with homeopathic pharmacopeia standards. Traditional  Context:  Historically  employed  in  homeopathy  for  glandular,  musculoskeletal,. respiratory, psychological, and dermatological disorders , particularly those involving swollen. glands, rheumatic pains, and sore throat. - In cases of poisoning, the most com mon symptoms were vomiting, diarrhea, frontal headache and a sore

dust of the powdered dried root, or from the odor of the fresh root when it is sliced.
