Vertigo, worse looking up and moving head rapidly, with nausea, fainting and headache. - COMMENTS - Acts powerfully on the outer chest, sternum and breasts. - Reputed to cure cancer, polyps and new growths (Chel.). - Clarke saw breast tumors diminish under its action. - Grimmer stated that this reme dy has cured breast cancer with severe burning pains and inflammatory symptoms of the mucus mem branes, the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, and the skin. - Pronounced heat, flushing and redness of the skin. - Characteristic burning pains (wherever pain exists). - S. - L. - Mitchell recorded the fatal poisoning of workmen who drank the tincture in mistake for brandy. - They were all soon seized with severe racking and burning pains in the stomach and bowels with intense thirst. - “Burning” is one of the leading notes of the remedy and is found in many different parts. - Winterburn published a case illustrating this indication in the region of the stomach. - Mr. - F., 48, ofsanguino - bilious temperament, energetic and refined, had been ill with pains in the stomach for several months. - A clairvoyant had recommended “a decoction of blood -root and bone -set in tablespoonful doses.” Each dose produced “intense burning pains in the stomach lasting for hours,” and it had to be discontinued. - Weeks later, Winterburn was consulte d and found Mr. - F with burning in his epigastrium with pressure, worse at night, but coming on soon after lying down and compelling the patient to rise. - Belching gave no relief. - Great appetite, torpid bowels, an unsatisfactory relief each morning, leaving a sense of discomfort. - There was a peculiar drawing pain in the shoulders and arms during sleep, so that when he woke his fists were tightly clenched and flexed on the sternal end of his clavicle, lameness and weariness of the muscles followed. - Sang. - 200c, was chosen aftercareful com parison with Nux-v., Graph, and others. - It was given every night at bedtime. - After the first dose, the symptoms disappeared “like magic,” and the patient was soon well. - Leonard said “a circumscribed burn ing in the chest, comm only followed by heat through abdomen and diarrhea,” is a strong indication for Sang, in pneumonic conditions. - Sang, also has the circumscribed hectic flush on the cheeks, as in tuberculosis in which it is frequently indicated. - Flushed face, at times dark red or livid (Op.). - It has the “hopefulness” of tubercular patients. - Severe headaches. - Migraine, starting at the back of the head and moving to above the right eye (Sil.). - Patients cannot bear light, odors, or the least jar, as that of anyone stepping across the floor. - There can be vomiting of food and bile. - Pain so violent the patient goes out of her mind or seeks relief by pressing head against pillow or pressing with the hands. - Cooper gave as a keynote, “If he goes without food, gets bilious headaches.” Violent, throbbing headache with extreme nausea and vomiting, frequent, fetid belch - ings and great salivation. - Severe burning in stomach, vomits bitter water and sour, acrid fluids. - Nausea may not be relieved by vomiting. - Sweets taste bitter, aggravate the burning. - Vomiting of worms. - Tormenting thirst. - Offensive breath and flatus. - Irritation of the nasal mucus membrane. - Polyps. - Coryza with pain at root of the nose. - Influenza, hay fever and ozaena. - Sinusitis, more on the right side. - Lost or perverted sense of smell, sensitive to the odor of flowers. - Laryngitis and membranous croup. - Tracheal and bronchial coughs in epidemic influenza. - Cough after influenza or whooping cough, particularly in children. - Cough returns with every fresh cold. - Violent, dry cough, wheezing, whistling, metallic. - Offensive and acrid discharges. - Sputa is almost impossible to raise. - Clarke recorded several cases in which Sang, relieved patients who had thick plugs of suffocating mucus which the patients were too weak to dislodge. - Offensive menses, bright red flow, later blood darker and less offensive. - Itching of axillae before menses. - Eruptions on the face of young women, during scanty menses. - Menopausal disorders, flashes of heat, leucorrhea, and painful enlargement of breasts. - Neuralgia of the face, ameliorated by kneeling down and pressing head firmly against the floor. - Pain extends in all directions from the upper jaw. - Rheumatism. - Rheumatic pain in right arm and shoulder, worse at night. - Cannot raise the arm, but can swing it to and fro. - Frozen shoulder. - Great affinity for the right shoulder. - Right side generally more affected. - Symptoms go from right to left. - Marked periodicity. - Pains in places where the bones are least covered. - Cooper gave the case of a woman, 19, who had a condition of her throat from scarlatina three years previously, and lately increasing deafness. - There were noises all over her head and vertigo. - Sudden flushings in daytime, menses too frequent, and profuse leucorrhea. - Backache, paining her to walk, forcin g her to give up teaching from the pain. - Poor appetite from the headaches and tinnitus, she often had pain behind the angles of lower jaw and swollen glands. - All symptoms disappeared after a single dose of Sang, tincture, although at first the leucorrhea w as increased. - F. - Nichol, in giving Hale his experience with Sang, in croup, said he used a solution of Sanguinarine in vinegar, and he found that the most effective preparation. ### Head - Throat disorders causing deafness and earache. ### Face - Hectic flush, redness and burning of cheeks. - Neuralgia, pain extends in all directions from upper jaw. - Fullness and tenderness behind angle of jaws. ### Mouth - Ulceration of mouth and fauces with dry, burning sensation. - Palate feels scalded. - Tongue white, feels burnt. - Anterior tongue looks red, like raw beef. - Offensive breath. - Sweet things taste bitter. - Neck - Soreness of nape on being touched. - Rheumatic pain in nape, shoulders and arms. - Pain in right side of neck as if strained in left side. - Nose - Nasal polyps. - Chronic rhinitis, membrane dry and congested. - Hay fever. - Ozaena with profuse, offensive, yellowish discharges. - Coryza, followed by diarrhea. - Pain at the root of nose. - Rose -cold with subsequent asthma. - Sensitive to odors. - Loss or perverted sense of smell, smell in nose like roasted onion. ### Throat -
