Source: Derived from the whole plant of Sticta pulmonaria (syn. Lobaria pulmonaria), commonly. known as lungwort, a lichen in the Lobariaceae family, prepared for homeopathic use through. trituration and serial dilution to enhance therapeutic action while eliminating material toxicity, in. accordance with homeopathic pharmacopeia standards. Traditional Context: Historically employed in homeopathy for  respiratory, neurological, and. musculoskeletal disorders , particularly those involving nasal congestion, frontal headaches, and. joint pains. It is noted for symptoms such as stuffy nose, dull headaches, and aggravation from. sudden changes, often worsened by lying down, night, or dry air, and ameliorated by open air,. motion, or discharge. Modern  Context:  Indicated  for  respiratory  conditions (e.g.,  allergic  rhinitis,  sinusitis),. neurological  conditions (e.g.,  tension  headache,  migraine),  musculoskeletal  conditions (e.g.,. fibromyalgia,  arthritis),  and  psychological  conditions (e.g.,  generalized  anxiety  disorder,. adjustment  disorder).  It  suits  patients  with  acute  or  chronic  symptoms  characterized  by  nasal. congestion,  frontal  headaches,  joint  pains,  anxiety,  or  lying-down  sensitivity,  typically. exacerbated by lying down, night, dry air, or sudden changes, and often seen in individuals with. sensitive, reactive constitutions. The remedy is particularly relevant for those with respiratory or. neurological conditions, often presenting with symptoms like blocked nose or dull headaches,. commonly observed in patients with allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, or tension headache triggered by dry. air, rest, or emotional stress.
