## Keynote Indications
The first provings were done by Hahnemann and his pupils. Hahnemann’s provings brought 
out the leading symptoms “painless urging to urinate,” and “frequent urging to urinate with co pious discharge 
of urine.” 
Hahnemann pointed out that the urging to urinate with thirst may indicate Tarax. in some cases of diabetes. 
Hahnemann’s dosage was a single drop of the tincture. 
Langhammer noted the “mapped tongue.” The tongue is coated white and clears off in patches, leaving dark 
red, very sensitive spots. 
Affinity for the liver and bladder. A bilious remedy. Pains in both splenic and liver regions. Heaviness in the 
liver region. Gastric headaches, bilious attacks with mapped tongue and jaundic ed skin. Jaundice with 
enlarged, indurated liver. Disorders of the liver, sour taste, darting pains in outer parts. Hysterical tympanites. 
Flatulence. Cancer of bladder. 
Hands and nose cold at 8 p.m. Cold fingertips. Feeling of sickness and exhaustion, inclined to sit or lie down. 
Muscular pains with shuddering and muscular prickling. Stitching pains. Affections in left upper side, right lower 
side, back of foot, sole of foot. Almost all symptoms appear while the patient is seated and are dissipated by 
walking.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Better from touch. Better moving, walking, open air. Burning in throat is better by drinking. Worse 
while lying down, resting, at night. Worse from fat food.

### Vertigo
- Vertigo with giddiness and staggering when walking in the open air.

- COMMENTS - The Treasury of Botany noted that “the bright-yellow flowers of Taraxacum open in the morning 
between 5 a.m.
- and 6 a.m.
- and close in the evening between 8 p.m.
- and 9 p.m.
- Hence this was one of the 
plants selected by Linneus to form his floral clock.” 
Cooper noted the case of an old Indian officer who, when in India, suffered from gallstones and was advised 
to take dandelion infusion every day.
- He did so and soon the symptoms left him and he remained free from 
them for over twenty years.
- Gastric and bilious attacks, especially gastric headaches.

- Drawing pain in external ear.

### Face
- Hot and red face.

- Purulent pimples on face, cheeks, alae nasi and lips.

### Mouth
- Sour, bitter taste.
- Acid saliva in mouth.
- Salivation with sensation as if larynx was pressed shut 
Biller laste,  rising from pharynx into mouth.
- Smarting, burning and rawness in mouth and fauces.
- Accumulation of sour water in mouth.
- Tough, ropy, sour-tasting saliva.
- Nose - Cold nose.
- Nosebleeds.
- Perspiration - Very debilitating perspiration, causing biting on the skin.
- Sweat on falling asleep.
- Profuse night 
sweats, mostly before midnight, when just going to sleep.

### Throat
- Hawking up of acid mucus.
- Sore throat with pressive pain, as from internal swelling.
- Dryness, 
shootings and bitter mucus in the throat.

- Tongue - Tongue, coated, mapped.
- Tongue covered with a white film.
- Tongue feels raw, comes  off in

### Chest

### Neck & Back

lying down with obstructed respiration.
- Pressing, stinging in spine and sacrum with dyspnea.

### Skin
- Stinging on skin.
- Unhealthy, pimply, sycotic skin.
- Eruptions over body and limbs, itching severely and 
appears to be a mixture of lichen and urticaria.
- Profuse night sweats, biting in skin with sweat.

### Sleep
- Irresistible drowsiness after  meals.
- Sleepiness in daytime and yawning while sitting.

going to sleep while listening to a scientific discourse.
- Vivid, unremembered dreams, frequent waking and

- As if brain was constricted.
