Uran-n. was \nproved by E. T. Blake was not very successful in producing sugar, but his \nproving is not any less valuable on that account and clinical use has filled out the picture.  \nUran-n. causes glycosuria and increased urine. Produces nephritis, diabetes m ellitus and insipidus, \ndegeneration of the liver, high blood pressure and dropsy. Its therapeutic keynote is great emaciation, debility \nand tendency to ascites and general dropsy. Excessive thirst, nausea, vomiting, excessive appetite. Dry \nmucus membranes and skin. \nHigh blood pressure. Burning in the stomach, gastric ulcer. Incontinence of urine. Burning in urethra while \npassing urine. Impotency with nightly emissions. The patient had progressive weight loss, \nweakness, and great weariness in the legs with edema. His tongue was coated white, severely dry mouth. \nPale, looked haggard with dark circles.
