## Keynote Indications
Burt, who proved Ust. on himself and others, introduced the remedy to homeopathy. It had 
been observed that preg nant animals feeding on maize affected with smut were very liable to abort. Roullin 
noted that shedding of the hair and sometimes of the teeth, occurred in animals and men, that mules that fed 
on it cast their hoofs, and that 
fowls laid eggs without shells. 
Ust. affects the female sexual organs, skin, hair and nails. The provings brought out a specifi c affinity for the 
reproductive sphere of both sexes, especially for the left ovary and uterus.  
Ust. congests the uterus and produces hemorrhages, generally passive or in clots, dark and watery blood. 
Flabby condition of uterus. Uterine hemorrhage,  menstrual, post -partum and menopausal. Bleeding 
fibroids. Bearing down, as if everything would come from her. As of a knot in uterus, bowels, throat etc.  
Suppressed menses without cause. Vicarious menstruation, bleeding from the lungs and bowels, and bleeding 
between the periods with left infra-breast pain. Crusta lactea (Viol-t.). Prostration from sexual abuse. 
Warm room causes oppression and faint ness. Excessively tired feeling. Loss of hair and nails. Tumors have 
 
 
been seen to disappear after its use.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Colicky pains better by constipated stool. Ovaries worse from pressure. Menorrhagia worse rising 
and motion. Abdomen and eyes worse by touch. Riding in carriage aggravates backache. Walking aggravates 
frontal headache, pain in left groin, pain in loins. Swelling aggravates pains in tonsils. Open air causes 
Ustilago maydis lachrymation. Worse from menopause. Worse motion.

fortnight before he saw the dog, she had aborted five fetuses at a bout the fifth week of gestation.

there had been passive hemorrhage of dark clots.
- Moreover, the dog was a perfect specimen of alopecia, not having a hair of any sort on her body and only a 
little about the head.
