## Keynote Indications
Jac. has syphilitic symptoms, especially of the eyes and throat. Chancroids. Atonic ulcers.
Dark, painless diarrhea. Weakness of memory and inability to study.
COMMENTS - Dr. J. F. Con vers, of Bogotá, found Jac. to be useful in certain kinds of rheumatism. He noted
the case of one patient who suffered from rheumatism for about 10 years, and never became serious.
Sometimes she was nearly relieved from it. She lost a good deal of sleep due to it.
Her wrist would become painful and very weak from ordinary labor. She complained of being stiff and had pain
from any motion, particularly in the morning. She needed as sistance dressing. Upon sudden motion, she had
the sensation of the muscles tearing and being bruised, painful on pressure.
Convers gave her different remedies as they seemed to be indicated with no result. He thought there could be
nothing lost by trying Jac. and did so. In a few days, she was
entirely relieved of muscular pains.
Six weeks after, her symptoms returned, but a second dose again relieved and the pains did not return.
Con vers tried Jac. on three other patients with the same peculiar morning stiffness and soreness. All were
relie ved in a few day s and experienced no further muscular pains.
Convers used the mother tincture at 5 drops per dose and the 3x dilution of it in the treatment of gonorrhea
and chancroids with the great success.
Anshutz noted that it is a complementary and antidote to Merc.
