COMMENTS - Characteristic downward dragging from shoulders, from thorax, from left breast, from epigastrium down to pelvis and out at the vagina as if everything would be forced through. Downward pressure in the rectum, bladder and loins. General pel vic distress, affecting the bladder, rectum and back. Increased sexual instinct, more intense affect on female organs. High Lilium tigrinum sex drive with bearing down pains (Sep., Murx.), and sharp, stabbing pains in the uterus. Consciousness of the ovaries as distinct, painful, burning spots with pains radiating from them down the thighs. Pains in the uterus and ovaries as if they were squeezed. Premenstrual syndrome, worse consolation, very irritable before menses. Hurried and restless before menses (Arg-n., Sep.). Fatigue. Can have palpitations of tightness in the chest associated with menses or premenstrual syndrome. Severe menstrual cramps (Sep.), as if squeezed with sharp, stabbing pains. Regular menses, flows only as long as she moves. Menses too soon, leucorrhea after menses. Intermittent, thin, brown leucorrhea, leaving a brown stain. C. Sigmund Raue observed excellent results from Lil -t. 3x and 30c in cases of uterine fibroid presenting the characteristic symptoms of the remedy. Another prover, a woman, 53, who had ceased to menstruate took a drop of Lil -t. 30c. She had a feeling of exhaustion as if the blood were pushed outward and later a blinding headache “as if all the blood were pressing outward through every aperture.” Felt hurried and driven, without knowing why. Sudden fluttering sensation in the heart, better if busy, with faintness, as though she could make no exertion but must sit still. Contractive pain in the heart, intermittent pressure. Alternate spasm and relaxation. Sharp pain in apex of heart. Pain and numb ness in the right arm along with the heart pain. Alternation of heart pain with uterine or ovarian pains. Intermittent action of the heart, every intermission is followed by a violent throb, causing an involuntary catching of the breath. At the same time, the blood rushes up through the carotids to the head, producing great heat and crowded feeling of head and face. Fever and sweat during the night. Wandering pain, flying, shooting, squeezing and relaxing, opening and shutting, burning and radiating. Lilium tigrinum Pain radiates from ovary to heart, to left breast, down legs (especially left), across to opposite ovary, through left breast, to back from ilium, across sacrum. Pulling up sensa tion from the tip of the coccyx. Convulsive contractions of the muscles of the body. Backache. Generally left sided. Intense restlessness, irritable nervous sys tem, weak, trembling, aimless hurry, walks to and fro. Obscene thoughts. Disposition to strike and swear. Feeling as if she woul d be crazy if she did not hold tightly upon herself, feeling as if she must scream. Fear of dying. One prover, who was astigmatic, had much suffering in the eyes during the proving, and found her astigmatism gone when the proving was over. S. Lilienthal had among his symptoms “a sensation as if a rubber band were stretched tightly from temple to temple, as if a skullcap were crushing the head, as if the brain was being pushed through eyes and ears.” A patient to whom Clarke gave Lil -t. 30c said it caused a sensation in the abdomen as if the contents were “tied up in knots.” H. C. Allen noted the symptom “cannot walk on uneven ground.” Berridge cured a woman, 50, of heart pain, with a sensation as if the heart was grasped with a hand, with a cold feeling from apex of heart to under left scapula, excited by worry, worse lying on right side, better lying on left side and when busy at work. Temperature - Chilly in cool open air, o therwise better. Chilly sensation running down face, head and back. Chills with violent beating of heart and constriction. Great heat and lassitude in afternoon with throbbing throughout body. Abdomen sore, distended, can't bear weight or covers. Skin of abdomen feels stretched and stiff. Abdomen sensitive to pressure or jarring. Trembling sensation in abdomen. Heavy dragging downfeeling of whole abdominal contents with dysuria. Bearing down pain in lower part of abdomen, worse walking. Sharp pains, better gentle rubbing with warm hand, doubling up. Hungry, craving for meat, sour or sweet dainties. Aversion to coffee to bread. Skin of abdomen feels stiff and stretched. ### Sleep - Yawning, stretching, drowsy. - Un able to sleep o n account of wild feeling in head. - Slept soundly, but suddenly waked by desire to evacuate bladder. -
