Source: Derived from arsenic trioxide (As₂O₃), a naturally occurring compound historically used in. small  doses  as  a  medicinal  tonic  and  in  toxicology,  prepared  for  homeopathic  use  through. potentization involving serial dilution and succussion. Traditional  Context:  Historically  employed  in  homeopathy  for  anxiety,  exhaustion,  and. multisystem  complaints,  particularly  those  involving  burning  pains,  intense  restlessness,  and. profound weakness. It is noted for symptoms such as health anxiety, digestive upset (e.g., diarrhea,. vomiting),  respiratory  distress  (e.g.,  wheezing,  dyspnea),  and  chilliness,  often  aggravated  by. midnight, cold, or emotional stress. Modern  Context:  Indicated  for  anxiety  disorders (e.g.,  generalized  anxiety  disorder,  illness. anxiety  disorder),  chronic  fatigue  syndromes,  functional  gastrointestinal  disorders (e.g.,. irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis),  respiratory conditions  (e.g., mild asthma, allergic rhinitis),. and  neuropathic or inflammatory burning pains . It suits patients with chronic, multisystem. symptoms  characterized  by  intense  anxiety,  physical  debility,  and  hypersensitivity  to  cold,. typically exacerbated by stress, illness fears, or environmental triggers, and often accompanied by. fastidiousness,  perfectionism,  or  a  need  for  control.  The  remedy  is  particularly  relevant  for. individuals with high-stress lifestyles, chronic illnesses, or obsessive tendencies.
COMMENTS - The Arsenic habit of the Styrian mountaineers has arisen from the discovery of its power of 
strengthening the muscles both of the limbs and of the breathing apparatus. The arsenic -eaters of the Tyrol 
can take as much as a few grains of white arsenic or the sulphide, every two days. They maintain that it imparts 
a sense of invigoration and enables them to carry enormous loads up steep mountains.  
 
 
According to one account it is resorted to by populations who live on vegetable food almost exclusively. “It 
strengthens the muscles, helps to digest our coarse bread and potatoes and allows us to breathe freely and 
easily.” 
It is difficult to say how far this is a directly “tonic” effect and how far curative of the dyscrasia generated by 
the conditions of life. The fine skin and glossy hair of the young women among the arsenic -eating people is 
remarkable and is comparable to the fine coats of arsenic fed horses. 
On the other hand, “staring coat” in animals and “dry, rough, scaly, unhealthy- 
contortrix, lod., Phos., Chin., Verat., Carb-v., Kali-p. (5) Epilobium - intractable diarrhea of typhoid. (6) Hoang 
Nan. (7) Atoxyl. - Sodium arseniate 3x, sleeping sickness, commencing optic atrophy. (8) Sarcolactic acid - 
influenza with violent vomiting. Complementary: Carb- v., Phos., Thuja, Secale. All. sat., Phos. Follows well: 
Aeon.. Agar., Arn., Bell., Cham., Chin., Ip., Lach., Verat. Followed well by: Aran., Nux-v., lod., Sùlph., Rhus-
t. follows well in skin affections, especially in cases treated al- lopathically with large dose of arsenic.
