## Keynote Indications
Calcarea acética was one the first of the lime preparations proved by Hahnemann. The
symptoms of Calc-acet. are generally identical with those of Calc., both are prepared from oyster shell s and
are included in the pathogenesis of that medicine.
Calc-acet. has had brilliant clinical results in inflammations of mucus membranes characterized by
membranous exudation, otherwise its action and application is like the carbonate.
Cancer pains. Stupefying, pressive pains in the forehead with compression of the whole head. Dulling of the
senses while reading, obliged to stop reading.
Ml.ND - Anxieties and worries. Confusion of the mind.
COMMENTS - Allen's Handbook mentions that Calc-acet. cured some cases of membranous dysmenorrhea
and also cases of violent spasmodic cough ending in the expulsion of casts of bronchial tubes (Calc.).
It has been used in the excruciating pains of open cancer (Calc-ox.).
Clotar Muller cured many cases of megrim with Calc -acet. The indications he relied on were “Sour taste in
mouth, sour belchings, sensation of coldness in the head and of emptiness. Head pain one -sided, affecting
the right eye, which was red, causing lachrymation.”
