## Keynote Indications
Carbn-s. combines many characters of its two elements. It was first brought into notice by 
its effects on workers in rubber works. This remedy has a deep and disorganizing action and an immense 
range of action and symptomatology. 
Lack of vital heat. Sensitive to warm, damp weather. Wors e from warmth. Sensi tive patients, worse cold, 
wasted muscles 
Carboneum sulphuratum and skin and mucus membranes anesthetic. Tabes. Anesthesia of skin and mucus 
membranes. 
Chronic rheumatism. Sciatica. Paralysis with intense congestion of nerve centers. Sensory difficulties in limbs. 
Diminished sensibility  of arms, hands and feet. Periph eral neuritis. Tremor. Muscular weakness Ataxia. 
Strong increase of mechanical muscular irritability. A feeling of vibration and trembling in whole body, 
particularly in hands. 
Burning, tearing, jerking, and stitching pains, apt to return at regular intervals for a long time. Pains come and 
go quickly. 
Special affinity for eyes. Disturbance of sight and sensibility. Vision better in eve ning, in twilight, after eating. 
“Toothache brought on by warm food” (Caib-v., Sulph.). Ringing in the ears with poor hearing. 
Eruptions of herpes and impetigo, discharges excoriating and producing violent itching. Herpetic diathesis.  
Flatulency (Carb-v.) and abdominal soreness (Sulph.). Di arrhea every four to six weeks. Digestive disorders 
of extreme severity. Periodic diarrhea, comes every six weeks. Incontinence of urine.  
Inability to sleep. Sleep is restless with tossing in bed. Giddiness. Impotence. Chronic lead poisoning. Useful 
in patients broken down by abuse of alcohol.
Temperature - Coldness, during headache. Feverish attacks, during headache. Distention with soreness and rumbling. Flatulence, better after stool. Rumbling and flatulent 
complaint, twisting, rolling and rumbling as if diarrhea would set in. Cutting pain in bowels. Abdominal walls 
as if bruised and sore. Pain with wandering swellings as from flatus.  Navel drawn inward, with pain. 
Strangulated hernia. Griping pain around navel with urging to stool. Liver troubles, with edema of feet. Ravenous appetite. Appetite lost. Hunger with aversion to eating. Great thirst. Desire for beer. Aversion 
to meat. Worse tobacco, wine and beer. Worse from alcohol. Drunken, unconscious from whiskey.

and believed he had committed a robbery,” “sensation of a hole close by into which he was in danger of falling.” 
One acute case concerned a girl, aged 15, who was employed in vulcanizing works, and was exposed to the 
fumes one whole day.
- Before this, she had, from smaller exposures to the fumes, frontal pains and heaviness 
of the head.
- After this, the pains became more violent and were accompanied by painful contraction of masseters, then by 
stiffness of neck and vertebral column, finally of legs and arms.
- The contracture was generalized, but nowhere 
complete, though the jaws could not be separated.

### Face
- Face pale, with clammy sweat.

- Warmth and fullness in chest with difficult breathing.

palate, straining the chest and making it sore.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Sour eructations after coughing.

belching.

### Extremities
- Emaciation.
