It s patients (children) get\noutraged over trivial matters.  Nothing can please them.  They are very\nsensitive.  Their hypersensitivity is no t only of their nature but it also\naffects their skin.  The patient does not let anybody come near him or\ntouch him.  Even a light touch wi th the hand is unbearable.  He\nhesitates to face a stranger.  Like the patient of Chamomilla, the\npatient makes strange demands, and when the demand is met, he\nthrows away the object.  Being stared at by somebody upsets him.\n\nThe Cina patients grind their teeth  during the night, which is\ninterrupted by frequent jolting and waking up.  Fear scares them and\nwakes them up.  In their frightful dreams, they see dogs, demons and\nghosts.  They scream during sleep  and wake up trembling.  The\nchildren like to sleep on their hands and knees.\n\nThe Cina patient has a peculiar glossy gleam in the eye.  He\nexperiences an array of colours, especially yellow.  The pupils are\ndilated.  The patient experiences blackouts.  There is constant\nirritation inside the nose, which needs to be constantly rubbed.  The\nirritation is never endin g.  The margins of the nostrils shrink inside.\nAround the mouth and the lips, ye llowish or bluish round spots\ndevelop.\n\nConvulsions are a special characteristic of  Cina.  The limbs feel tight\nand jerky.  As in Cicuta, the neck of the person arches backwards\n(Opisthotonus).  The fingers turn i n.  There is a feeling of chilliness\nand quivering all over the body.  When such a patient is patted on his\nback, he develops headache.\n\nThe symptoms of Cina aggravate af ter taking food.  The patient feels\nvery hungry.  The child throws up clotted milk. The nature of Cina\nresembles somewhat with that of Aethusa.  Besides the mind, heat\naffects the stomach and intestines; but the symptoms are expressed a\nlittle differently than in Aethusa.  In Aethusa, the child vomits milk as\nsoon as he drinks it and is mostly constipated but in Cina, diarrhoea or\ndysentery is more common.  The stools are mixed with a whitish\n\nsticky material (mucus).  When the infection has become well\nestablished, the diarrhoeal stools become green in colour.\n\nIn a Cina patient, the sensation of touch and taste are either enhanced\nor reduced significantly.  In other words, they are out of balance.\nOften, the patient eats one thing and perceives the taste of something\nelse.  Ingestion of food,  milk or water causes a rumbling noise in the\nthroat.  This symptom is also found in Cuprum and Arsenic.  Cuprum\nis also useful for the treatment of worm infestation.\n\nThe stools of a patient of Cina are foul-smelling and propulsive, like\nPodophylum.  A peculiar symptom of Cina is that when the child lies\nprone on his stomach, his diarrhoea stops showing that pressure over\nthe abdomen offers relief.  Cina  should not be forgotten in the\ntreatment of epilepsy developing after a malarial attack.\n\nIn Cina, there is violent coughi ng in the morning, and one may\ndevelop spasms of the throat due to  incessant coughing.  There is pain\nin the chest.  The at tacks of whooping cough also  occur.  In women,\nduring pregnancy, sudden unexpected news of happiness or grief can\nprecipitate headache or pain in the abdomen which can linger on for\nq u i t e  s o m e  t i m e .   C i n a  c a n  b e  a d m inistered to control this kind of\nsuffering.  The symptoms of Cina a ggravate after food at night and in\nhot weather.\n\nAntidotes: Camphor, Capsicum\nPotency: 30 to 200","modalities":"","symptoms_by_system":[],"schema_version":"1.0","api_provider":"Allahshafi"}
