## Keynote Indications
Ephedra has been proved in Russia by Dr. B. H. Mouravow. Ephedra produced symptoms 
when twenty drops of a strong alcoholic extract were taken five times a da y, fifteen drops four times a day 
were taken without apparent effect. 
General weakness from early morning, great fatigue. Extreme apathy. Asthma. Stiff-neck and backward pulling 
of whole body on turning the head. Starting of the eyes from the orbits as if pushed out. 
To Mouravow, these symptoms suggested exophthalmic goiter. He also considered that the remedy acted on 
the ganglions of the sympathetic nerve and caused congestion of the spinal cord.

## Symptoms by System

### Mind
- Extreme apathy and fatigue.

### Head
- Violent headache, nausea, general weakness, with a slow pulse.
- Left side hemicrania with numbness

### Eyes
- Heavy eyes.
- Pain in the eye.
- Starting from their orbits, as if pushed out.

### Chest
- Abatement of the pulse, increases rapidity of action of heart.
- Strong heartbeat with weakening of pulse, 
respiration is accelerated.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Dull pain in region of spleen (Cean.).

### Urinary & Genital
- Kidneys - Retention of the urine (fourth day).

### Extremities
- Heaviness in all the limbs, in evening.
- Numbness of entire left arm with left-side hemicrania.

### Neck & Back
- Stiffness of neck with exophthalmos.
- Stiffness of neck and backward pulling of all the body on turning 
head, with a dull pain in region of spleen.

### Sleep
- Longing for sleep.
