## Keynote Indications
Produces inflammation of the conjunctiva membranes and profuse lachrymation. It affects 
the mucus membranes of the eyes, nose and chest, producing acute catarrh with free, acrid, watery secretions. 
Irritation extends to the skin around the eye and nose, disorders of the external nose.  
Allergies and hay fever.  Tears are acrid, nasal discharge is bland, worse in the evening. Sensation as if 
sand in the eyes. Acrid pus. Catarrh in the chest, producing hoarseness and cough with profuse expec -
toration. Hawking up of offensive mucus, may cause vomiting. 
Cough after the disappearance of hemor rhoids. Colic, hemorrhoids and condylomata at anus. Drowsiness 
without being able to sleep, frequent wakin g in the night as from fright. Symptoms are better in open air. 
Frequent yawning when walking in the open air.

Better from open air. Better winking. Better wiping eyes. Better dark. Better in bed or getting out 
of bed. B etter from coffee. Worse wind. Worse south winds. Worse warmth. Worse from sun light. Worse 
room, indoor. Worse evening. Worse after sleep. Lying down aggravates coryza, better cough. Cold air and 
wind causes lachrymation. Walking in open air causes yawning.

- Vertigo with heaviness of head.

- Dim vision by candlelight, the light seems to vary.
- Light of candle 
seems to be dark and to flicker, during headache.
- Obscuration of vision for distant objects, while walking 
in open air.
- COMMENTS - Great affinity for the eyes.
- Nonspecific organ remedy for the eyes.
- Good for concomitant 
symptoms relating to the eyes, particularly tearing or watery eyes, unrelated to current condition.
- Great value 
as an eye-lotion, can remove corneal opacities.
- Allergy infections where the eyes are prominently involved, where the eye swells and waters.
- Watery, runny 
eyes, the whites of the eyes are red.
- Copious tearing, hot, acrid tears that irritate the skin.
- Eyes smart.
- Conjunctivitis (Arg-n., Puls.).
- Conjunctivitis with measles, eye problems since measles.
- Pink eye, with yellow 
discharge, better walking around slowly (Puls.).
- Acute bacterial infections.
- Sensation that sand or gravel  is 
under the eyelid, constant irritation or itchiness.
- For dry eyes or blocked ducts.
- Migraine headaches with eye symptoms.
- Whooping cough with lachrymation.

- Coryza worse lying down, at night and in the open air.

- Hering noted a cure of “flat cancer on right side of nose.” 
Ames of Rockland, Ohio, recorded the case of an old man of 79 to whom he gave Euphr.
- 3x for lachrymation 
and sneezing.
- It relieved him of those symptoms in addi tion to prostatic trouble he had for some years, which 
compelled him to rise frequently in the night to urinate.
- This led Ames to give Euphr.
- in other cases of prostatic 
trouble with good results.

### Head
- Headaches with coryza.
- Pressive headache with photophobia and heat, chiefly in the forehead.
- Sensation as if the head would burst.
- Catarrhal head ache with profuse discharge from eyes and nose.
- Shootings pain in the temples and in the forehead.
- Pulsations of head.
- Beating in the head, perceptible on the 
outside.
- Dullness of head with pressure on vertex.
- Sharp pains in brain.
- Kidneys - Frequent and copious emission of clear urine.
- Nocturnal irritability of bladder.

### Ears
- Otalgia with piercing pains in the re gion of the tympanum.
- Earache.
- Impaired, during catarrhal fever.
- Ringing in ear.

### Face
- Redness of the face.
- Rash on face, itching in warmth, becoming red and burning when moistened.
- Miliary eruption on the face with sensation of burning and redness, on wetting the face.
- Stiffness of left cheek, 
tongue.
- Upper lip stiff as if made of wood.
- Shootings in the lower jaw and chin.

### Mouth
- Paralytic stiffness of the tongue and of the cheeks, making speech difficult.
- Stammering and frequent 
interruptions in the speech.
- Sensation of clucking, which mounts into the throat.
- Shooting pains in lower teeth.
- Copious bleeding of gums.
- Nausea and bitterness in the mouth after smoking.
- Nose - Hay fever and allergies.
- Profuse bland, fluent coryza, with scalding tears and aversion to light.
- Profuse, blandfluent coryza.
- Fluent coryza by day, obstruction of the nose at night.
- Violent irritation t o 
sneeze, without cold or apparent cause.
- Excoriation and painful sensibility of the nostrils.
- Nosebleeds.
- Purulent 
pimples on the ale nasi.
- Small red spots, like pimples, on upper right side of nose.
- Eruption on wings of nose.
- Flat cancer on the right side of the nose.
- Perspiration - Copious nocturnal sweat.
- Sweats, mostly on chest, at night during sleep.
- Sweat often has a 
strong odor.
- Very offensive sweat and most copious on front of chest.

### Throat
- Gagging when clearing throat in morning.
- Catarrhal hoarseness, morn ings.
- Irritation of larynx 
impelling him to cough, followed by tensive pressure beneath sternum.

### Chest
- Pressive pain beneath sternum.
- Transient sticking here and there in chest.
- Sharp pains under the 
sternum during an inspiration.
- Cough - Cough with easy expectoration, in daytime only, better lying down, better at night.
- Cough caused by 
irritation in larynx.
- Cough with profuse expectora tion of mucus.
- Cough from smoke of wood.
- Cough after 
disappearance of hemorrhoids.
- Cough can be suppressed by a sip of water.
- Cough after influenza.
- Whooping 
cough only in daytime, with profuse lachrymation.
- Difficulty of breathing, shortness of breath, even when seated.
- Cough with suspension of respiration.
- Cough with much, easy expectoration in day, less on lying down, at night.
- Frequent yawning when walking in 
open air.
- Cough in the morning with copious expectoration of mucus and fluent coryza.
- Whoopi ng cough only 
in day with profuse lachrymation.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Hiccough.
- Risings with taste of food.
- Nausea and bitterness after smoking.
- Vomiting from hawking 
mucus.
- Temperature - Chilly and cold.
- Chill in the forenoon.
- Descending fever.
- Attacks of heat during day.
- Fever with 
redness of face and cold hands.
- Frequent colic.
- Pinchings in abdomen by short fits.
- Pressive squeez ing and burning across 
abdomen.
- Colic, alternately with disorders of eyes.
- Better from coffee.
- Nausea and bitterness after smoking.
- Cough better eating.
- Tickling in trachea worse 
tobacco smoke.

### Urinary & Genital
- Spasmodic retraction of genitals with pressure above the pubic bone.
- Retraction and tingling of the 
testes.
- Prostatitis.
- Nocturnal irritability of bladder, drib bling urine.
- Lancination and voluptuous itching in the 
glans and in the prepuce.
- Condylomata and sycotic growths, itching, stinging with sore and burning pain when 
touched.
- Menses late, painful, flow lasts only an hour or day.
- Menses scanty, and short.
- Amenorrhea 
with ophthalmia and ulcer on right side of the nose.
- Stitching pains and itching when walking in open air.
- Condylomata.

### Extremities
- Numbness in the arms and hands.
- Cramp -like pressive pains in the hands and the fingers.
- Fits of 
(painless) swelling in the joints of the hand or of the fingers on moving them.
- Cramp pain in the metacar pus.
- Torpor of the fingers.
- Shootings in th e legs during repose.
- Stitches in the hip and knee joints when walking.
- Tension, as from contraction of the tendons, Achilles tendon, on walking.
- Cracking in the outer ankle of left 
foot, when stepping.

### Neck & Back
- Cramp-like, pressive pains in back.
- Swelling of cervical glands.

### Skin
- First stage of measles, eye symptoms marked.
- In measles with watery eyes and fluent coryza it is 
sometimes the best rem edy.
- Condylomata, itching when walking, burning when touched.
- Touching skin 
produces aggravation.
- Consequences of blows, bruises and contusions.
- Fine erup tion around eyes and on 
nose.
- Warts.

### Sleep
- Usually worse after sleep.
- Yawning when walking in open air.
- Sleepy during the day.
- Frequent waking 
(as from fright) at and after 3 a.m., lasting until 6 a.m., when he falls in a stupor from which he wakens with 
many complaints.
- Frightful dreams with frequent waking and starting with fright.
- Dreams of fire, lightning, 
flames, etc.

### Generalities
- As if dust or sand in eyes, as if a hair hung over eyes.
- As if upper lip were made of wood, stiffness 
of left cheek and tongue.
