It\nis intimately related to the liver and is very useful in diabetes.\nNatrum Sulph given once or twice a week, in potency 200, along with\nCalcarea Phos, Kali Phos and Natrum Phos, three to four times a day\nin 6X potency, has proven to be a widely effective formula for\ndiabetes.  Sometimes all these four remedies can be given in 6X\npotency with good results.\n\nThe symptoms of Natrum Sulph appear before midnight.  In wet\nweather the symptoms become worse.   Natrum Sulph patients are of\nvery sensitive nature, physically as well as mentally.  They are\nextremely sensitive to pain that is relieved on movement.  The entire\nbody seems to be hurting.  The catarrhal conditions  become more\npronounced during spring. Natrum  Sulph is an excellent\nhomoeopathic remedy to protect agains t deep internal ill effects of a\nhead injury.  Natrum Sulph, in combination with Arnica, is very useful\nfor the treatment of an old head injury .  During birth, sometimes,\nthe baby\u2019s head comes under severe pressure.  Such babies must\nimmediately be given Natrum Sulph through the mother\u2019s milk, so\nthat the ill effects of the pressure  may be averted and the child saved\nfrom becoming mentally deficient.\n\nNatrum Sulph is also the best remedy for asthma, particularly in those\npatients, whose asthma becomes wors e in humid weathe r.  It starts\nwith the nasal catarrh, which soon becomes worse and then invades\nthe chest, leading to the onset of  asthma.  The cough with a lot of\nphlegm is accompanied by severe di fficulty in breathing.  The phlegm\n(expectoration) is whitish and stic ky.  The patient becomes short of\nbreath on slight movement or walking.\n\nIn Natrum Sulph, there is a tendency of mole formation on the entire\nbody.  Eczema over the head is also a characteristic symptom of\nNatrum Sulph.  Red spots form too.\n\nEyes sensitive to light  respond well to Natrum Sulph.  The eyes tend\nto water.  If water flows out of one  eye, associated with pain at the\nnape of the neck on the same si de, this is an early sign of glaucoma.\nFor this, Calcarea Phos and Gelsemium are the best remedies.\nHowever, if the water flows out of  both eyes and the eyesight has\nbecome weak then Natrum Sulph is  the best treatment.  If the eyes\nbecome yellowish and badly infecte d, with the formation of greenish\ncoloured pus making the eyelids s tick together, even then Natrum\nSulph can be effective.  Noises in the ear, associated with a feeling of\npressure in the ear will also benefi t from Natrum Sulph, if the patient\nis of Natrum Sulph constitution.\n\nIn Natrum Sulph, the ailments are mo re prevalent on th e right side of\nthe body than the left.  If there is a tendency of nosebleeds, either\nbefore or after the menses, Natrum Sulph is well worth a trial.\nNatrum Sulph is also used during an epidemic of influenza .  It may\nalso be of significant use for the treatment of the gums receding\nfrom the teeth;  infection of the throat, wi th the formation of thick\nsticky phlegm and the feeling of suffocation or shortness of breath\non walking fast .  Natrum Sulph is also useful in the treatment of\ngoitre.  Natrum Sulph is deeply rela ted to the tonsils.  If the glands\nhave become enlarged and swolle n inwardly and the patient vomits\nsour greenish material, then Natrum  Sulph happens to be the unique\nhomoeopathic remedy.\n\nNatrum Sulph given regular ly can even dissolve stones in the gall\nbladder.  The other important remedy fo r this disease is Lycopodium\nin 200 potency, which with Chelidonium 30, should be given three\ntimes a day.  If the stomach becomes distended with gas and there\nare griping pains or the abdominal glands have become enlarged and\nhardened, then also, Natrum Sulph is very beneficial.\n\nWhen person contracts sudden diarrhoea on exposure to heat and the\nstools are copious offensive and greenish in colour and explosive; then\nbesides many other possible remedies, Natrum Sulph can also be\nuseful.\n\nNatrum Sulph is considered to be one of the best treatments for liver\ndisorders.  Frequent nocturnal urination that is not due to diabetes\nmay well be treated with Natrum Sulph.\n\nSometimes, either due to nervousness or due to change in weather, the\npatient urinates several times during the night .  For this problem,\nArsenic and other nerve related re medies could prove to be more\nbeneficial.  If one fails to work, then based on the situation, other\nremedies should be tried.\n\nIf the prostate gland becomes enlarged  and other symptoms of\nNatrum Sulph are also present in th e patient, then Natrum Sulph alone\nis sufficient to cure the disease.  However, it would be better if\nNatrum Phos 30 or 200 potency is also given with Natrum Sulph.\n\nA rattling of the chest due to sticky phlegm, deep severe pain in the\nchest on coughing, and a cough having become chronic, may all well\nrespond to treatment with Natrum Su lph.  The patient aspires to be\nable to take a deep breath.  The chest hurts, especially on the left side.\n\nNatrum Sulph is an excellent treatment for meningitis or swelling of\nthe brain (encephalitis).  If a child develops meningitis, then first of all\nhe should be treated with Ferrum Phos, Silicea, Kali Mur, Mag Phos\nand Kali Phos in 6X potency.  At th e same time, Natrum Sulph in 200\npotency should also be given tw o to three times a day.  This\nprescription has proven to be very  effective in the treatment of\nmeningitis.  If meningitis is not treated promptly,  epileptic fits may\nensue which may even become permanen t.  Especially if the fever is\nsuppressed with antibiotics, then there is danger of long-lasting effects\non the brain.  Therefore, only th e above stated prescription for\nmeningitis including Natrum Sulph should be used.  Meningitis may\nbe cured within a few days.\n\nBody aches generally become worse duri ng humid weather.  Natrum\nSulph is also useful in the treatm ent of joint pains, which aggravate\nduring winter and also against severe body aches due to fever .\nNatrum Sulph can also be useful to treat the warts on the hands and\narms.  Natrum Sulph in 6X potency has proven to be an\nextraordinarily useful treatment of eczema on the palms of the hands\nand the wet eczema between the fingers.  Even if a disease has\nbecome chronic, it can be cured with low potency Natrum Sulph.\nHowever at times, based on the symptoms and constitution of the\npatient, it becomes necessary to cha nge the potency of the medicine.\nLike Sulphur, in Natrum Sulph, ther e is a feeling of intense heat on\nthe top of the head.  After eating there is severe pain over the\nforehead, characterized further by the heaviness in the head, pain at\nthe nape of the neck and dizziness.\n\nOne symptom of Natrum Sulph is that the roots of the nails become\ninflamed (Paronychia).  There is a burning se nsation over the heels,\nand tightness and stiffness of the knee joints.  Pain in the hip joints,\nhands and feet aggravate during humid weather.
