Some people are\nallergic to grass  and pollen and contract a violent type of sneezing.\nAfter the sneezing is over, the nos e does not run, showing that the\ncause is not a nasal cold but simply the irritation inside the nose.\nSome homoeopaths use Sabadilla in  a very low potency.  However I\nhave found it useful in 30 potency.  The Sabadilla patient is very\nsensitive to cold, and starts to shiv er even when it is not very cold\noutside.  Every cold object aggravates the symptoms.  Most of the\nsymptoms of Sabadilla resemble those of Lachesis, such as the pain\nshifting from the left to the right and the body feeling very cold.\n\nLachesis itself is the topmost remedy for hay fever, especially in the\nspring season.  Sabadilla is also most commonly employed in the\nspring season (flowering season).  Some people who have an allergy\nto the scent of flowers can benefit from Sabadilla.  However, when the\nsneezing is  due to allergy in the autumn , it will respond better to\nAllium Cepa.  Lachesis is the chronic of Sabadilla, and Alumina that\nof Allium Cepa.  One must remember to use a fast acting remedy for\nthe treatment of a sudden acute illness.  When the acute stage has been\nbrought under control, then the long-acting remedies can be used.  If a\npatient exhibits the symptoms of Sa badilla, he must be treated with\nSabadilla.  Once the patient becomes apparently cured, Lachesis 1000\n(the chronic of Sabadilla) must be given without waiting for the next\ncourse of the illness.  Lachesis 1000 should then be repeated in fifteen\ndays.  Thus the patient can be perm anently cured.  In case Sabadilla\nand other quick remedies similar to it, do not offer initial relief, then\nLachesis may be used.  In some patients, it offers rapid relief.  In other\nwords, Lachesis is not only used as a chronic remedy, it may\noccasionally also be used as a quick remedy.  At times, just one dose\nof Lachesis may stop the sneezi ng immediately.  Sneezing is a\ncommon symptom in different remedies , so it is important to take a\nnote of other symptoms as well. Mo stly, all of the above remedies\n(Sabadilla, Lachesis, Allium Ce pa) seem to work and do not\ndisappoint the treating physician.\n\nSabadilla itself has the capability of treat certain chronic illnesses, like\nchronic nasal catarrh blocking the nasal passages.\n\nIt is very strange that some Sabadilla patients believe that a certain\npart of their body is extr aordinarily large compar ed to the others.  I\nhave also seen such patients, wh o said that their face was badly\nswollen, while actually, this was not the case.  This symptom is\ntypical of Sabadilla.  Based on this symptom, if the patient is treated\nwith Sabadilla, then his other sy mptoms may also be cured.  I\nremember one such woman patient, d eclared untreatable according to\ndoctors.  She insisted that one of her cheeks was badly swollen.  When\ntreated with Sabadilla, her other symptoms also disappeared by God\u2019s\ngrace.  When an idea gets riveted in the mind, it helps in identification\nof the disease and the appropriate remedy.  A Sabadilla patient comes\nto believe that his ribs or legs have become bent or his limbs are\nwasting; he just cannot forget about it.\n\nThe presence of certain strange id eas and superstitions helps in\narriving at the proper diagnosis rather easily.  In Thuja, the patient\nbelieves that he is made of glass  and naturally brittle.  It is said that\none such patient used to walk with utmost care, lest he fell down and\nbroke.  He was taken to a psychologist.  To make the patient believe\nthat his idea was false, the psyc hologist slapped him on his face,\nassuming that he would realise his thinking was wrong.  However, the\npatient fell down and died on the spot.   God knows best if this story is\ntrue or false.  If it is true, then  the patient must have been a perfect\npatient of Thuja!\n\nIn hay fever, there is a constant irritation inside the throat.  The\npresence of worms in side the intestines  produces irritation over or\ninside the nose, provoking sneezin g.  No wonder Sabadilla is the\nuseful treatment for intestinal worms. Although Dr. Boericke though\ndid not mention this effect in the chapter on Sabadilla he has\nmentioned it in his repertory und er the heading of remedies for\nworms. Sabadilla seems to be deadly to worms of the intestines .\nPersistent itching at the nose, arou nd the lips or at the palate area\nindicates the presence of worms in the intestines.  The projection of\nthe intestinal conditions outwards on the skin is only natural.  For\nexample, a stomach upset may show up as blisters in the mouth.\nIntestinal worms and nasal catarrh ca n be cured with just one remedy\ni.e. Sabadilla.  Stannum is anothe r good remedy agains t the intestinal\nworms, which simply melt away under its effect. The Sabadilla itch is\nmostly at the palate.  Wyethia causes a similar pain at the palate area\ninstead of itching.  If the pain at the palate becomes shifted to the back\nof the throat, provoking a troublesome cough, then Nux Vomica is\nbetter.  In regard to nasal catarrh  Sabadilla behaves like Arsenic,\nexcept for the absence of a burning sensation.\n\nThere are conditions related to ce rtain homoeopathic remedies, in\nwhich the patient feels very hungry wh ile ill.  In Sabadilla also, the\npatient feels very hungry in between sneezing.\n\nIn Sabadilla, the patient suffers from dry cough, bellyache  and\ndifficulty in breathing.  He does not feel thirst y at all.  The Stomach\nfeels empty and there is a craving fo r sweets.  The patient feels better\non eating hot food, while cold drinks aggravate the symptoms.  There\nis a feeling of heat, burning and so mething creeping on the skin.  The\nskin becomes extremely dry and begi ns to split, especially under the\ntoes.  Chronic infection around the toenails  is yet another symptom\nof Sabadilla.\n\nThe patient has a feeling of something being stuck in the throat ,\nwhich he keeps trying to swallow.  Th is is a chronic type of complaint\nwhich becomes worse in the cold.  The tongue feels as though it is\nburning.\n\nIn Sabadilla, the children tend to suffer from diarrhoea.  The\nabdomen feels as if it is being cut with a knife.  Periods are delayed in\nwomen, and there is stabbing sensa tion in the ovaries.  The uterus\ntends to sag downwards, as in many other homoeopathic remedies.\n\nAdjuvant: Sepia\nAntidotes: Pulsatilla, Lycopodium, Conium, Lachesis\nPotency: 30","modalities":"","symptoms_by_system":[],"schema_version":"1.0","api_provider":"Allahshafi"}
