It occurs in massive, fibrous, stel lated, rarely ortho-rhombic, crystals. The metal stronlium \nis dark yellow. Strontium carbonate varies in color from white to yellow and pale green. \nStront-c. was proved by Nenning, Schreter, Seidel, Trincks and Woost. It affects the circulation, causing a \n \n \ncongestive feeling of tension. The heart, kidneys, marrow, ankles and right side are also affected. \nRheumatic pains, chronic sprains and stenosis of esophagus. Pains make patient faint or sick all over. Pain \nand itching al ternate. Pains are fleeting, can hardly tell where they are, seemingly felt in marrow of bones. \nPains increase and decrease gradu ally or make the patient faint and sick all over. Burning, gnawing. Right \nside most affected. \nFor the shock after surgical operations. Chronic sequelae of hemorrhages,  after operations with much \noozing of blood and coldness and prostration. \nArteriosclerosis. High blood pressure, with flushed face pulsating arteries, threat ened strokes. Edema, \nespecially about the ankles as a concomitant. Numbness. Soreness. Restlessness at night, smothering feeling. \nAffections of bones, especially femur. \nViolent involuntary starts. Immobility of one side. Sense of paralytic weakness. \nFormication in limbs. Neuritis, worse cold. Coldness in spots, on calves. Pressure in stomach is better by \neating and worse after a meal. Emaciation.\nCOMMENTS - Congested state. Flushing in the face and violent pulsation of the arteries, congestion to heart, \nlungs and head. Symptoms better by warmth and wrapping up and worse by cold. All complaints are worse \nwalking, particularly headache, leucorrhea, dyspnea and pressure in the sternum.  \nHeadaches are boring, pressive and tensive. Tension from vertex to upper jaw, as if head were expanded from \nwithin and as if scalp were too tight, worse in evening, when lying with head low, slowly increasing and \ndecreasing, better from heat. Tension in the nape, as if the tendons were drawn up. Tensive drawing in dorsal \nand lumbar muscles. External soreness, numbness. \nVenous tension in the arms. \u201cThe veins of the arms and hands are injected and tense with great prostration \nand ill-humor.\" Phlebitis, varicose veins.
