Its bite causes intens e burning all over the body.  The\nhomoeopathic remedy is prepared from the extract of this spider.  Its\neffect on the urinary system resemb les that of Cantharis, which is\nsimilarily produced from the pois on of a fly.  It produces severe\nscalding along the urethra.  The kidneys become inflamed.  Urine\ncomes in the form of drops like molten copper.\n\nIn Tarentula, the intense burning sensation affects the entire body,\nbut the genitals even more so .  It is associated with restlessness and\nweakening of the heart.  In Cantha ris however, affliction of the heart\nis not essential.  In Tarentula, the patient has a special aversion to\nblack, red and green colours .  Tarentula, in high potency, can cure\nthis condition even after it has b ecome chronic.  As a matter of\nprinciple, for sicknesses of a chr onic and well-established nature, the\nhomoeopathic remedy should be given in a high potency, though in\ngeneral, it is safe practice to start the treatment in 30 potency.\n\nIn Tarentula, one symptom is similar to Hysocyamus.   In\nHyoscyamus, even the most modest  young girls, while out of their\nminds, subconsciously talk in a vulgar way whereas normally they are\nnot vulgar at all.  In Tarentula, however, there is a tendency towards\nobscenity in the normal state of  mind.  By hook or by crook, the\npatient is bent upon fulfilling his sexual desires.  Such patients need to\nbe treated with Tarentula in a high potency.\n\nIn Tarentula, the body starts wasting and emaciating so much that the\npatient is reduced to a mere skeleton as if destroyed by termites.  This\nin fact is the nature of Tarentula i.e. on being bitten by the spider; the\nflesh of the victim liquefies so that it may be easily devoured by it.  In\nother words, the poison of the Hispan ic spider melts and liquefies the\nflesh.  Thus, if anybody suffers fr om wasting of the body, even if\nother symptoms of Tarentula are missing, he should still be treated\nwith Tarentula.\n\nTarentula Hispania 666\nThe Tarentula patient is hypersensitive to cold .  He feels severe\nrestlessness in the legs  before going to sleep.  This symptom is also\npresent in Argentum, Lycopodium and Arsenic.\n\nThe symptoms of Tarentula ailments are strictly periodic and timely.\nFor example, if the patient has been  afflicted on a Monday, then the\nnext episode will also be on Monday.  Sometimes, the sickness returns\nexactly after two weeks.  Strict periodicity of the symptoms is peculiar\nto the venoms of animal origin.  For example, the diseases resulting\nfrom snakebites are common in the spring.  This well-known tendency\nis often quoted in time-old stories.  The truth is that the snake does not\nbite the same person every year.  Th ere is only reactiv ation of the old\nsnake bite wound, although the person feels as if he was bitten by the\nsnake again.  Lachesis is the best homoeopathic treatment for such\npatients and must be given in high potency.\n\nThe exact timing of the recurrence of the symptoms of a Tarentula bite\ndoes not relate to a year or a month.  Rather it is referable to days or a\nweek.\n\nBy the Grace of God, the relapsing type of malaria, which returns\nevery week or fortnight may also be  cured with Tarentula, if other\nremedies have failed. A Tarentula patient is extremely thirsty, bad-\ntempered, evil natured and cunning.  He keeps on planning dangerous\nwicked schemes to harm others.  A Tarentula woman is extremely\ncunning and can harm others with her evil designs.  Her conversation\nis very threatening.  She sees strange faces and has visual\nhallucinations of animals, demo ns, ghosts and other horrible\nfigures.\n\nThe restlessness and burning  of Tarentula is similar to that of\nArsenic.  Burning of the hands and feet reminds one of Sulphur.\nAversion of certain colours, especially red, resembles the aversion to\nred by the fighting bulls in Spain.  Th ey hate the colour red and rush\nto attack anything red.\n\nArsenic neutralizes the ill effects of Tarentula.  At the same time, if\nTarentula fails to relieve a condition, Arsenic can be used instead.\n\nTarentula ailments aggravate in the cold.  Some of its symptoms\nresemble those of Sulphur. He\ncannot open the eyes.  Hypersensitivity to light results in a headache\nover the temples and the nape.\n\nLike in Natrum Mur, a Tarentula patient feels as if being lightly\nhammered over his head .  The eye symptoms are mostly on the\nright side .  The vision becomes blurre d and weak, associated with\ndischarge from the right eye.  There is severe pain in the right ear .\nThe cold settles in the right nostril from where it erupts periodically.\nThe throat also hurts on the right side .  Aversion to food, thirst for\ncold water and nausea are specific to  Tarentula.  Inflammation of the\nthroat may also show itself externally.\n\nThe Tarentula patient suffers from severe type of chronic\nconstipation making him restless and appr ehensive.  He tosses about\nin the bed and rubs his head on th e pillow.  The se vere constipation\nmay sometimes not even be relieved by laxatives or an enema.\n\nDue to persistent grief and anxiety, a patient may contract\ndiabetes.  In such a situation, associat ed with aching of the arms and\nlegs, Tarentula is very useful.  It  may not just offer temporary relief\nbut may even result in a complete cure.\n\nTarentula is very useful in the treatment of renal colic  caused by\nurinary stones or inflammation.  If th ere is a severe pa in in the loin\narea above the hip associated with plentiful urine, a burning\nsensation along the urethra  and a feeling of a sudden spasm, then\nperhaps Tarentula is the most ideal treatment.\n\nTarentula can also cure the severe internal itchiness and burning\nsensation in women. Other symptoms of\nTarentula being present, it may offer a complete cure for this\ncondition.\n\nIn general, a Tarentula patient has numbness over the limbs ,\ngeneralised weakness and burning sens ations, restlessness and severe\npain over the extremities.  Pain in the legs is the most pronounced, as\nwell as unbearable burning on the skin and intolerance to light\npressure.  Sometimes, the patient may not even tolerate the weight of\nclothing around him.\n\nThere is pain over the hip joints, esp ecially at night.  In Tarentula, the\nsymptoms become worse at night.  The entire body itches and burns.\nOn walking, the patient feels pain over the thighs as if tightly tied with\na bandage.  Paralysis of the legs  is also a prominent feature.  On\nmovement, the patient feels pain and discomfort over the back, while\nthe headache feels better.\n\nConvulsions are a prominent feature of  Tarentula.
