Kali Phos, Potassium Phosphate, Kali Phosphoricum.
The mental state is one of extreme lethargy, despondency, and anxiety. There is a marked lack of courage, a fear of crowds or being alone, and an inability to concentrate. The patient is irritable, sensitive to noise, and prone to hysterical outbursts. It is specifically indicated for students who suffer from brain-fag and business people who have become overwhelmed by constant mental pressure.
Kali Phosphoricum is the great nerve nutrient and restorative of the homeopathic materia medica. It acts as a profound restorative in conditions of nervous exhaustion, neurasthenia, and states of depletion following acute diseases or chronic mental strain. It is indicated when the vital force is low, characterized by a tendency to disintegration, offensive discharges, and paralytic states. It is the remedy for the 'tired brain' and is essential for those suffering from the effects of worry, overwork, and emotional shock.
Aggravation: From mental or physical exertion, excitement, eating, cold air, and being alone. Amelioration: From gentle motion, eating, warmth, rest, and cheerful company.

Shortness of breath, often described as nervous asthma or sighing respiration. Palpitations of the heart from emotional excitement or physical exertion. The pulse is weak and irregular, reflecting the general nervous instability.

Magnesia Phosphorica is its closest complementary remedy, especially for spasmodic pains and nervous tension. Silicea also acts well to complete the cure in cases of deep-seated exhaustion and suppuration, while Ferrum Phos is often used in conjunction for inflammatory states associated with anemia.
There are no strictly inimical remedies, but it should be used with caution following or preceding heavy metallic salts if the symptoms do not align with the specific nervous exhaustion characteristic of Kali Phos.
It follows well after Silicea in cases of nervous debility and after Gelsemium in cases of flu-like fatigue. It is often succeeded by Calcarea Phosphorica for bone and tissue repair in children and convalescents.
