- The provings made by Hahnemann, Stapf and others, brought out a very marked and characteristic action on the eyes and developed some of the keynote symptoms of the drug.
- Affects the head, spine, eyes an d one side.
- Sensation of expansion and consequent tension.
- Sensation of heaviness, numbness, parts feel too big or drawn together.
- Whole body painful especially when touched.
- Broken feeling of joints.
- Generally a left side remedy, but it has coldness of the right side, while the left side is namral or hot.

- Disorder of sense of touch, objects feel rough.
- The scalp is very sensitive to touch.
- Pressure on a sore spot on head causes cries.

- The eyes give out of fetid, ulcerOpen painful sore on skin or mucous membraneAn open sore on an external or internal surface of the body, caused by a break in the skin or mucous membrane.-like smell.
- Great sensitiveness to offensive odors, also imaginary bad smells, milk and bread smell like putrid meat.
- DiarrheaFrequent, loose, and watery stoolsA state of having three or more loose or liquid bowel movements per day. stool smells like putrid meat.“Hunger soon after a meal,” the “sinking” of the anti-psorics, hellebores, and veratrums.
- COMMENTS - Par is one of the drugs which are credited with producing garrulity, vi vacity, with love of prattling, like tea.

- B., 45, suddenly become loquacious and insane.
- After a mouth of Kavirajee treatment without benefit she came under his care, October3, 1893.
- A year before, the last of her five children, a grown-up son, died and she could not be consoled and gradually became morose and dull.
- She ceased to menstruate in Febru ary, 1893, but had no uterine troubles or any other illness previous to the present.
- Loquacity, but not continuous.
- Every three or four days, if interfered with, maniacal attacks lasting about half an hour.
- At times foolish behavior.
- With difficulty Banerjee obtained the following symptoms from the patient: vertigoSensation of dizziness or spinningA feeling of movement or spinning of oneself or the surroundings when there is no actual movement. and whenever she thinks of her lost son, severe headache, the vertex being sensitive to touch.
- When telling these symptoms, suddenly her looks became wandering and her eyes appeared as if protruding from their sockets.
- She could not relish her food because everything, especially fish, smelt putrid.
- She complained of a ball lodging in the throat and giving her trouble with burning.
- Acid ity and badly smelling diarrhea.
- A peculiar feeling of coldness of right side of the body wh ile the left side was hot.
- All symptoms worse in evening and on motion.
- Ign.
- 30c and later 200c, was given without any effect.
- Par acted promptly, and on the third day the patient assured the doctor that she was quite well.
- The remedy was not repeated and the cure held.
- Clarke cured with Par a “numb feeling of left side of head.” Numbness affects the upper limbs.
- The left arm is paralyzed, and it feels stiff with fingers contracted.
- “Numbness and prickling in lefthand” was removed in a case of spinal affe ction.
- “Fingers often feel as if asleep, objects seem rough to touch.” Disorder of the sense of touch, with great sensitiveness of the surface.
- Hot stitches in left malar bones.
- Acidity, sour saliva.
- Temperature - Unilateral coldness or heat descending the back from the nec k.
- Tensive pain throughout abdomen.
- Hard pressure in abdomen.
- Rumbling and rolling in abdomen, cutting, griping pains.
- Incisive drawing and boring in one side of abdomen.
- Voracious appetite.
- Hunger very soon after a meal
